Waterton Lakes National Park is open year round for visitors to come and enjoy. Some of the business community does close for the winter, and open again in the Spring. May to October is the season when you will find most things open in the park.

The closest border crossing is at Chief Mountain. It has seasonal hours, opening in May and closing in September. The closest year round crossing is at Carway/Port of Peigan.

There are two airports that you can access Waterton from. Calgary International Airport in Alberta is the closest, while Glacier Park International Airport in Montana is next

There are two public bus systems you can catch to communities close by to Waterton. Red Arrow bus and Flix bus both bring you within 1 hour of Waterton. Local Taxis in the communities of Pincher Creek, Alberta and Fort Macleod, Alberta can help get you directly to Waterton.
