1. Catch a movie at the Waterton Lakes Opera House and sit in the vintage seats while enjoying their famous popcorn.
2. Enjoy Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales and enjoy the royal treatment while gazing out onto the Waterton Valley.
3. Go to the Bison Paddock and drive the loop to see if you can spot the herd. They like to hide in the grassy hills, so keep your eyes peeled! Make sure to stay in your vehicle at all times.
4. Go to the Paahtomahksikimi Cultural Centre and join an activity like drumming, crafts or knowledge sessions., immersing yourself in Blackfoot Culture.
5. Rent a kayak or canoe from Blakiston & Co. Adventure Rentals and paddle around Waterton Lakes, or rent one of their floating docks and relax in Emerald Bay.

6. Rent a Surrey bike from Pat’s Waterton and pedal around the village to sightsee and enjoy the views at a slower pace.
7. Book a show at the Waterton Planetarium to learn more about the cosmos and immerse yourself in this unique experience.
8. Drive the Akamina Parkway and stop along the way to learn about some of the human history of the park, most significantly the First Oil Well in Western Canada.
9. Hop on board the M.V. International with Shoreline Cruises and cruise down Waterton Lakes, you even cross an International Border!

10. See if you can find the “Bear” (don’t worry, it is not real) at the trailhead along the Red Rock Parkway . From there walk out onto the Bellevue Prairie trail in search of spring flowers.
11. Join a Parks Canada Interpreter and a Glacier Park Service Ranger for the International Peace Park Hike, a tradition showing the relationship between the two parks.
12. Go on an ArtVenture Painting Walk with Tamarack Adventures and create your own unique souvenir painting to take home with you.

13. Go have a picnic at the Hay Barn day use area, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the water where the lower and middle Waterton Lakes connect.
14. Rent a canoe, paddleboard or kayak from Cameron Lake Boat Rentals and paddle around this alpine lake. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife on the shore! Rent fishing gear and purchase a license to try your hand at catching a fish.
15. Go on a Ride with Alpine Stables and see the park from horseback, enjoying wildflowers, wildlife viewing and mountain views.

16. Head to the Waterton Lakes Golf Course and play a round of golf. Enjoy a beverage after on the best patio in the park.
17. Go to the Peace Park Pavillion at the marina and learn about Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and how it came to be.
18. Go to the Waterton Visitor Centre and immerse yourself in the unique information opportunities. Walk the nature path outside and learn about different species of animals you will find in the Park.
19. Cool down at the Spray Park at the Community Centre. Perfect for a hot day or after a hiking adventure.

20. Walk or bike the Kootenai Brown trail to the Park Gate, and stop at the gravesite of the former Waterton superintendent. A great stop for history buffs.
21. Head out on one of the many beautiful trails and take a hike! There is a hike for all activity levels and a variety of distances. Make sure you take bear spray and water, and have the proper gear for the hike.

22. Head to Red Rock Canyon (early morning or evening is best to avoid crowds) and walk the loop to see this geological wonder. Walk the short path to Blakiston Falls and view them from the overhanging platform.
23. Walk to Cameron Falls, located right in the village, and take in this impressive waterfall flowing over ancient rock. Hike up to the viewing platform above for another perspective.

24. Walk around the village and peruse the many shops and restaurants. Most businesses in Waterton are family owned and you will most likely meet some of them when you stop in!
25. Enjoy sunset or sunrise from the top of the Bear’s Hump. Take your camera, and remember If it’s windy make sure to hold on to your hat!
