Take an extra day and explore the park on your own! Spend the day on the water by renting a kayak, canoe or paddle board from Cameron Lake Boat Rentals. You will drive the 14 km Akamina Parkway to access Cameron Lake, and enjoy the quieter water on this beautiful lake.
If you would prefer to stay close to the village, you can rent watercraft from Blakiston and Co. and explore Waterton Lakes on a calm day.
Prefer to stay on land? Rent a bike and venture out on the streets of the village or the Kootanai Brown trail, which is an 8 kms (one way) path leading from the village to the Park Gate. You can grab a Mountain Bike and hit the trails on one of Waterton’s bike-friendly trails.
To rent a bike for the day, Pat’s Waterton has an assortment of bikes including Mountain Bikes and e-bikes available. They are home of the Surrey Bike, a 4-wheeled tandem bike that you can cruise around Waterton village.
If e-bikes are more your choice, Blakiston and Co. also has e-bikes available, including the Vintage style Trooper Bike.
