This unique shop was established in 1979. The word Akamina derives from a Kootenai word meaning benchland or valley. Akamina gift shop specializes in a variety of items – from fashion clothing to souvenir t-shirts and sweatshirts for kids to adults and a large selection of unique jewelry. In addition to our gifts we have a Book Nook, which offers the largest selection of books in Waterton.

About the Family

Akamina Gifts is owned by the Cruickshank family. This family is has approximately **100 years **and going on six generations of operating in Waterton Lakes National Park.
