Crandell Lake Loop Trail

Crandell Lake Loop Trail

The Crandell Lake Loop trail will have you circumnavigating around Mount Crandell. Due to the extra length of this loop, it is typically completed via mountain biking. The easiest way to find the trail would be to bike up the Red Rock Parkway and take the left turn past Crandell Mountain Campground. After passing a bridge you will soon arrive at the official trail head. After ascending up to the lake, if you stick right you can follow a trail around the entirety of the lake merging up with the Akamina Parkway access trail. You will then have to gain a good chunk of elevation leaving the lake behind you. After gaining the hill you will be met with a trail junction. Stick left and continue on a trail wrapping around the side of Mount Crandell. The trail will conclude after you cross the Akamina Parkway road and enter the Waterton Village via a trail behind local cabins.
