The parking area for this particular hike is located a short drive along the Akamina Parkway. The trail gradually ascends at a gently pace, as you pass through lower mountain forests. Once you have climbed the major slope you will be met with the trail junction for the Crandell Lake Loop. Ensure you stick left and continue descending down towards the lake. Crandell Lake sits in a low forested saddle between Ruby Ridge and Mount Crandell. A trail runs along the western portion of the trail allowing hikers access to various beaches and also a camp cook shelter. This is a nice easy hike that the entire family will enjoy. The trail is also open to Mountain Biking.
