Lineham Falls

Lineham Falls

This moderate half day hike travels through multiple ecosystems as you climb up out of the Cameron Valley. Lineham Creek lazily flows in the valley bottom as you hike through the coniferous forest. As the trail breaks out of the trees you can see the unique contrast from the montane forest to the open hillside. A gradual climb along the steep hill takes you back into the forest with cooler temperatures and a variety of species of wildflowers and plants. As the trees thin, Mt. Lineham and Mt Blakiston appear and frame the landscape. Between them you see the magnificent 250 m/410 ft tall Lineham Falls streaming down from the hanging valley above. The trail continues up through a scattering of large boulders until the end at the base of the cliff. Take a break and bask in these views before heading back down towards the trailhead.
