This windswept ridge offers an amazing reward for hikers, but it is not an easy journey. Beginning at the Rowe-Lakes trailhead, hike for 5 km into Rowe Meadows then cross the creek to find the trail for Upper Rowe Lakes and Lineham Ridge. Turn right at the signed junction and begin a 10-15 minutes moderately steep climb through the trees. From here the trail follows a long sweeping arc across the headwall of Rowe Valley and a series of switchbacks ease your ascent to the ridge. Here you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of the Rowe Valley, the Upper Rowe Lakes and down the other side to the numerous Lineham Lakes. Take in all the sights and sounds on the ridgetop before you make the journey back down the same route.
