Lower Rowe Lake

Lower Rowe Lake

This popular trail begins by following along the creek of the same name, as it flows through beautiful chutes of red argillite. The trail climbs continuously into the shadows of the established forest. These varied light conditions are excellent for many species of wildflowers to grow in this area. Indian paintbrush of many colours are found along the side of the trail in the summer months. At the junction take a quick left and this leads to Lower Rowe Lake. With an impressive cliff at its back, the lake is a perfect place to stop and enjoy the gentle sounds of nature. If you have had enough climbing for the day, then sit back and relax at this beautiful alpine lake.
