The trailhead for the Wishbone Trail takes off at the beginning of the Chief Mountain International Highway. (Highway 6) The trail itself passes alongside the Maskinonge wetlands, offering amazing opportunities for bird watching. Depending on the season, fording Sofa Creek may be required. This is also where the hike transitions into the foothills parkland eco-region. After passing the Vimy Peak junction you will then hike around Middle Waterton Lake where the trail eventually terminates at the Crypt Lake trailhead. The trail is mountain bike friendly for part of the trail.
